Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday took over as Punjab Congress chief in his own style. As he walked in swag to address the Congress workers after taking over, Sidhu mimiced a batting shot to denote his win.
Sidhu finally managed to hit out of the park to get the state unit leadership after a long-drawn and bitter battle with chief minister Amarinder Singh.
The rival leaders made a show of unity on Friday with Captain declaring his support to Sidhu's new innings.
"The Punjab crisis has been resolved, you can see," Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said moments after they met, according to ANI.
Singh had till now refused to meet Sidhu unless he apologised publicly for attacking him. This was also one of the conditions the Chief Minister had placed to agree to the latter's elevation, although it didn't matter at the end of the day.
