France was dealt with a huge blow ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, as they will be without the services of their star midfielder Paul Pogba. The 28-year-old suffered a thigh injury during training on Monday while he was training with his France teammates.
Pogba appeared in pain and yelled as the injury happened during a one-on-one shooting drill. As a result, Pogba will not feature in Saturday's Group D home game against Kazakhstan and will also miss the away game vs Finland on 16th November. France currently tops their qualifying group with 12 points and victory against Kazakhstan will secure a place at Qatar 2022.
Pogba was already set to miss Manchester United's English Premier League match at Watford on November 20, as he completes a 3-match domestic ban.
