Not all superheroes wear capes. A railway worker showed immense courage and presence of mind to save the life of a child who fell on rail tracks at Vangani railway station in Mumbai. In a CCTV footage from the station, pointsman Mayur Shelke is seen running to save the child even as train approaches on the same track. The braveheart managed to pull the child and himself on to the platform just in the nick of time.
"The woman (with the child) was visually impaired. She could do nothing. I ran towards the child but also thought that I might be in danger too. Still, I thought I should save him. The woman was very emotional and thanked me a lot. Minister Piyush Goyal also called me up," Mayur Shelke told news agency ANI.
