It was a scene to watch as one of India's favorite former cricketer and current head of BCCI, Sourav Ganguly came down to bat against board's Secretary Jay Shah at the Eden Garden on the eve of BCCI's Annual General Meeting. Shah grabbed all eyeballs as he pipped his boss' XI and won the 15 over match by 1 run.
BCCI secretary's team came in to bat first and set up a 128 run target at a loss of 3 wickets. Jaydev Shah who scored 40, retired as per the rules. Following him were Arun Dhumal and Jay Shah who contributed with 36 and 10*.

In reply, Shah wrecked the chief's good-looking XI as he took 3 wickets and ended the game in a win. He took Mohammad Azharuddin's, Suraj Lotikar and Avishek Dalmiya's wicket. Ganguly who was at the helm could have won the match, but fell short of just 1 run. The prolific ex-cricketer who was playing at no. 6 was forced to retire after collecting 35 runs in 20 balls.
