The Delhi High Court on Saturday warned the Centre it may face 'contempt of court' if the oxygen supply to Delhi falls short of the allocated quota.
Directing the central government to ensure that Delhi receives 490 MT oxygen supply 'by whatever means', the high court said that 'water has gone above the head' and the Centre will 'have to arrange everything now'.
The high court referred to Delhi's Batra Hospital where eight Covid patients lost their lives after the oxygen supply stopped for 80 minutes.
The allocation was made on April 20 and Delhi has not received its allocated supply for even one day, the high court noted.
