You might have heard of innumerable side effects of wearing a face mask all day, to prevent the risk of transmission of Covid-19. Some of these include headaches, 'maskne' and 'mask mouth'.

There's another one added to the list of physical symptoms that are caused by prolonged use of face masks.

If you're wearing your face mask wrong, you could land yourself up with a stiff, achy neck.

The American Chiropractic Association has noticed a link between long hours spent wearing a mask and an increase in instances of neck pain, upper back and jaw pain.

Experts believe the trick lies in wearing masks that fit absolutely well on the face. Ill-fitted masks are contributing factors in neck and back pain.
