Ram Temple consecration is set to take place on Jan 22 but top religious heads have raised questions
As per reports, 4 Shankaracharyas will not attend the Ram Temple consecration. They said it is because the temple construction is still incomplete.
The four Shankaracharyas, who head major Hindu mutts are based in Uttarakhand, Odisha, Karnataka and Gujarat.
Two of the four mutts, one in Gujarat and the other in Karnataka, have rejected reports of them not attending the event.
Swami Nishchalanand Saraswati Shankaracharya said that he would not attend the event because it has turned into a political show.
As per reports, Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand refused to attend the event. He said the ceremony does not follow the Hindu religion norms.
