Brew your favourite tea (black, green or flavoured) and let it cool to room temperature.
Boil tapioca pearls according to package instructions. Once cooked, let them cool.
Make a sugar syrup by dissolving sugar in hot water. Let it cool.
Place the cooked boba pearls in the sugar syrup and let them soak.
If making milk tea, heat or cool your preferred milk (dairy or plant-based).
Add the soaked boba pearls to a glass, pour in the tea, and add milk if desired. Add ice for a cold version.
Stir well, use a thick straw, and enjoy your homemade boba tea!
