At 23 years 132 days, Shubman Gill became youngest double centurion in ODIs (208 vs NZ). He overtook Ishan Kishan (24 years 154 days).

His first T20I ton, a 63-ball 126* against NZ in 2023 made him 2nd-youngest to hit 100s in all 3 formats. Only Ahmed Shehzad (22 yrs) is ahead of him.

India’s youngest centurion in T20Is

Gill also become India’s youngest T20I centurion at 23 years and 146 days, narrowly overtaking Suresh Raina’s record of 23 years and 156 days.

Gill’s 67*(62) against Nepal in Asia Cup saw him become fastest to reach 1500 ODI runs. It took him one inning less than Hashim Amla (30 innings).

With 851 runs, Gill was leading run-scorer in IPL 2023. He went past Ruturaj Gaikwad (24 years then), who won Orange Cap in 2021 with 635 runs.
