What needs to happen?

Pakistan need to win their remaining two games - against New Zealand and England, to have any chance of making it to the last four.

Comparison with current top four

Among the top 4 teams, Pakistan cannot surpass India. They can at best go level with SA, but NZ and AUS are only two points ahead.

Pakistani fans, keep your fingers crossed!

A number of results need to go their way, starting with a South Africa win against New Zealand, that'd keep New Zealand at 8 points.

New Zealand

Black Caps play SA, PAK and SL in their last 3 games. If SA beat NZ, the PAK vs NZ clash could well prove to be the clinching tie for a semis berth.

Australia

The Aussies face ENG, AFG and BAN. Pakistan will benefit immensely if the 5-time Champions can beat Afghanistan

What about Afghanistan?

AFG face NED, AUS and SA next. Pakistan would need the Afghans to lose at least 2. Even if the two end up tied on points, PAK would need a better NRR.

Netherlands

The Dutch have an outside chance but thankfully for Pakistan, they face AFG, ENG and IND in their final 3 games.
