Shaheen Afridi completed 100 ODI wickets in his 51st game, beating the record previously held by Mitchell Starc (52 matches).
The 23-year-old took 51 matches to reach the milestone, only Sandeep Lamichhane (42) and Rashid Khan (44) did it faster.
Afridi, in fact, was the 8th fastest ever to reach 50 ODI wickets. Now, he's the 3rd fastest to 100.
With 16 scalps, he's now overtaken Jasprit Bumrah to become the joint-leading wicket-taker this World Cup along with Adam Zampa
Afridi, who looked off-colour in the first two WC games vs Sri Lanka and India, has taken 12 wickets in his last 4 matches.
