Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday asked people to defer wedding plans since such gatherings can prove to be super-spreaders as he announced his government's decision to extend the statewide 'Janata curfew' till May 15. He directed officials to enforce the ‘corona curfew’ without any laxity. Announcing the shutdown, Chief Minister Chouhan further said the state can't remain open with 18 per cent case positivity rate. He sought people’s support and appealed to all political parties, civil society, and volunteers to rise above differences and work together against the coronavirus pandemic.
