Days after triggering controversy with his ripped jeans comments, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat on Sunday passed another controversial remark saying people should have produced more children to get extra ration during the coronavirus pandemic.
Addressing an event in Nainital's Ramnagar, Rawat said those with less children got less government ration during the lockdown in comparison to "those with 20 children".
He further said people would have gotten more ration if they would have produced not two but twenty children when they had time.
