Will examine if resignations are genuine: Speaker

The 11 rebel legislators from the Congress and Janata Dal Secular met Karnataka assembly speaker KR Ramesh Kumar and resubmitted their resignations. The MLA were flown from Mumbai in a charted plane and were escorted to the Assembly under police protection. In a press conference held after the meeting, the Speaker Ramesh Kumar said he was hurt by claims that he was delaying taking a decision on the resignations, as the fault lied with the MLAs. He also said he recorded the meeting and will submit the video to Supreme Court.
