BJP chief JP Nadda on Thursday tweeted an old video of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi to attack the party over the opposition to new farm laws. In the undated video, Sonia Gandhi appears to be speaking in favour of the removal of middlemen to enable farmers to get "the right price for produce". Nadda claimed that the video is proof that the Congress is now misleading the farmers for political gains. Several ministers have claimed that the opposition wanted to bring in the same reforms when it was in power, but couldn't do so and has now made a u-turn. The Congress has hit back, saying they have always been in favour of farmers and kept the focus on support price.
