Stephanie Thomas, a stylist decided to celebrate Women's History Month with a special photoshoot, that replaces women of colour on popular magazine covers with women with disabilities.

To debunk stereotypes and challenge age-old constructs of an ideal fashion customer, Thomas said, the photos do not show women with assisted devices or in wheelchairs.

Being a congenital amputee herself, Thomas launched her own website, Cur8able and hopes to get rid of negative perceptions of people with disabilities. The recreated covers include those of Naomi Sims, Jennifer Lopez and Lena Horne among others.
