A brush fire that broke out in Trabuco Canyon, California, is quickly spreading over hundreds of acres, forcing authorities to issue mandatory evacuation orders.
The Orange County Fire Authority dubbed it the Airport Fire as it started near a remote-controlled airplane airport on Trabuco Creek Road.
The blaze threatened thousands of home and commercial structures as it burned along the edge of the San Bernardino National Forest.
The blaze has charred about 32 square miles of grass and brush and blanketed the area with a thick cloud of dark smoke.
