Global fast-food giant McDonald's has come under intense fire for offering complimentary meals to Israeli soldiers amid the ongoing conflict with Hamas.
According to Newsweek, the food-giant's Israel franchise in an Instagram post declared its contribution of 4,000 meals to hospitals and Israeli troops
Additionally, the company announced a 50 percent discount to Israeli soldiers.
The American company's move didn't go down well with social media users with several calling out for its boycott. Many alleged that the company is supporting those in conflict.
Notably, following the controversy, McDonald's franchises in Oman, UAE, Turkey and Kuwait issued statements expressing support for Gaza.
