U.S. counterintelligence agencies have cautioned the American space industry against foreign intelligence efforts to steal research and secrets, particularly by China and Russia as they try to boost their own countries' space programs.
A two-page bulletin issued by the FBI, National Counterintelligence and Security Center and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations highlighted cyberattacks, joint ventures, and acquisitions as methods used by foreign entities to access U.S. space technology, Hindustan Times said quoting a wire agency report.
The U.S. has been raising concerns about Chinese hacking for years while China says its space program is for peaceful purposes.
