In its first reaction after US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi landed in Taiwan, China asserted that its unification process for the contested territory can not be stopped. It urged the US to see the historical context and warned it to abandon the 'Taiwan independence' attempt.
Quoting China's Taiwan office, Global Times reported that any move for Taiwan's freedom will be crushed by the Chinese people.
adding that reunification of Taiwan 'must and will be achieved.'

With Pelosy's landing in Taiwan, Chinese media alleged air and ground movement of troops in Taiwan Straits- the waters that separate China and Taiwan.
Large scale military movement has been reported in the area as several Chinese outlets point to movement of armoured vehicle in Xiamen, a port city on China's southeast coast facing Taiwan.
"We will engage the enemy on orders," reads a tweet by a Chinese website
Pelosy's visit has fumed China which had earlier hinted at a tough stance on the move.
