A lot of people lost sense of smell and taste during the Covid-19 pandemic. While many were able to taste and smell after a few weeks, others experienced long-term effects. In one such case a US woman who lost her sense of taste and smell after contracting the virus two years ago was finally able to smell only recently. 

A video documenting her experience her first time smelling coffee is going viral on social media.

As per Cleveland Clinic, 54-year-old Jennifer Henderson,  a resident of the US state of Ohio has since been suffering from parosmia and dysgeusia conditions after she contracted the virus in January 2021 in which the senses of smell and taste are lost, reported Hindustan Times.
