Renowned British crocodile expert Adam Britton, who worked for BBC and National Geographic, has pleaded guilty to abusing, raping and killing more than 40 pet dogs.
The 51-year-old admitted to 60 criminal charges including animal cruelty and possessing and sharing child abuse material before a court in Australia.
The court was informed that Britton had a shipping container on his property in Darwin which he called his “torture room”.
Britton, who is originally from West Yorkshire, was arrested in April last year.
Police had found cameras, external hard drives and sex toys from the container.
