Two suspects involved in the murder of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar are reportedly going to be arrested by Canadian authorities within the next few weeks.
Citing media reports, The Indian Express said that the suspected assailants remained in Canada after the murder and have been under police surveillance.
The authorities are expected to disclose more details regarding the alleged involvement of the Indian government in the killing after filing charges.
Tensions between India and Canada hightened after Canadian PM Justin Trudeau linked Indian authorities to the killing that took place in British Columbia. New Delhi has denied the allegations.
Nijjar, 45, was shot multiple times while leaving a Sikh temple in Surrey on June 18.
