A security scare occurred at the Buckingham Palace in London, just days ahead of King Charles III's coronation.

A man was arrested on May 2, 2023 for allegedly throwing several objects into the palace, including suspected shotgun cartridges.

Later, a precautionary controlled explosion was carried out to dispose of a suspicious bag.
