Following the easing of Covid restrictions in China, experts are painting a grim picture for the Asian country.
Eric Feigl-Ding, an epidemiologist, tweeted that hospitals in China have been "completely overwhelmed" since restrictions were eased.
He claimed that estimates are predicting that more than 60% of China's population is likely to get infected over the next 90 days. Deaths are likely to number in the millions, he said.
China recently rolled back some measures under its strict zero-Covid policy. The move was necessitated by mass protests in many cities sparked by hardships caused due to stringent lockdown and quarantine rules.
