Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has hit out at the DNC for their purported lack of inclusion of Palestinian voices in the convention in Chicago. Replying a post on X about a statement made by the Uncommitted National Movement or UNM, Tlaib wrote, "Why are you saying that Israeli children are more important than Palestinian children? where is our shared humanity? Stop erasing Palestinian. We exist. We deserve to be heard." The UNM statement urged the Democratic Party to “reject a hierarchy of human value by ensuring Palestinian voices are heard on the main stage”. Tlaib is the only Palestinian-American member of Congress.
