Former US President Donald Trump praised Vivek Ramaswamy, his Indian-AmericaN rival in the Republican presidential primaries.
Trump said the political newcomer is a 'very intelligent person' and would make an ideal vice presidential candidate.
Ramaswamy dominated the recent presidential primary debate and overshadowed top politicians like former Vice-President Mike Pence and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Trump did not participate in the first Republican primary showdown.
Ramaswamy had earlier shrugged off the idea of being a Vice-President in a potential Trump administration. “I think he and I share something in common, which is that neither of us make a very good number two,” he said in a Bloomberg interview.
