Former US President Donald Trump is being scrutinised for allegedly paying 'hush money' to ex-porn actress Stormy Daniels to cover up an affair.
Who is Stormy Daniels and what are the charges against Trump?
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, in a 2011 interview told In Touch Weekly magazine about her sexual encounter with Trump during a golf charity event in July 2006.
She claimed that Michael Cohen, Trump's former personal lawyer, had negotiated a secret payment to ensure her silence on Trump's behalf.
In the interview, which was later published in 2018, Daniels claimed that she was paid $1,30,000 shortly before the 2016 election.
Cohen and Trump reportedly had a fallout while Trump was the US President.
Trump is now facing charges for violating campaign finance laws for the 'hush money' paid to Daniels in 2016.
