Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader and Human Rights minister, Shireen Mazari, has alleged that her daughter was abducted by the police and individuals dressed in plain clothes during an overnight raid on August 20, Pakistan's Geo News reported.
In a social media post, Mazari, who was forced to quit politics in the wake of the May 9 violence and has faced multiple arrests since then, alleged that the police forcibly entered her house by breaking down the front door.
They apprehended her daughter without presenting an arrest warrant. Security cameras, a laptop, and mobile phones were also taken away. Strongly condemning the incident, Mazari termed it an act of 'abduction' and 'state fascism.'
