Goddess Kaali as Marilyn Monroe? Ukraine defence ministry's tweet sparks controversy

Ukraine's defence ministry sparked a major controversy after posting a purported image of Hindu goddess Kaali on Twitter.

Following outrage on the social media site, the tweet by the handle @DefenceU was deleted.

The image reportedly showed Kaali in a Marilyn Monroe-like pose above a blast cloud. The caption on it said, "Work of art."

Some Twitter users sought the intervention of India's foreign minister S Jaishankar.
