At least 23 people were killed and five injured after they were forced out of their vehicles and shot by gunmen in southwest Pakistan. The armed men stopped several buses, trucks and vans and shot people after checking their ethnicity in Musakhail in Baluchistan province on August 26. They also set 10 vehicles on fire. Officials said vehicles travelling to and from Punjab were inspected, and individuals from Punjab were identified and shot. The separatists in Baluchistan have often killed workers and others from the country's eastern Punjab region as part of a campaign to force them to leave the province.
