Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan said on Tuesday that the battle with Israel is still at the beginning, speaking at a news conference in Beirut.
The ongoing Israel-Hamas war was triggered by Hamas’ Oct. 7 surprise attack on Israel, whose response has led to more than 11,000 deaths — and much destruction — across Gaza.
Hamdan said that Palestinian militants and Hamas's armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al Qassam Brigades "are in control of the combat situation in the field."
