Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told the country’s House of Commons that he raised the issue of the killing of pro-Khalistan leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the recent G20 summit in New Delhi.

His remark came as he told the lawmakers that the Indian government could be behind the fatal shooting of the Canadian Sikh leader who was shot outside a Gurdwara in June 2023.

He said he told Prime Minister Modi that any Indian government involvement would be unacceptable and that he asked for cooperation in the investigation.
