Houthis Attack US Warships In Red Sea In Retaliation For Washington's Bombing Of Yemen

Yemen's Houthi rebels attacked 3 US warships in the Red Sea. Houthis launched multiple drones and missiles toward warships. 8 UAVs, 5 anti-ship ballistic missiles and 3 anti-ship cruise missiles fired by Houthis.

USS Stockdale, USS Spruance and USS Abraham Lincoln were targeted. Report: 2 of the destroyers under attack fired multiple missiles to thwart attack.

Houthi Spokesman Yahya Saree said they hit aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. Attack at Bab-el-Mandeb strait between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. Pentagon statement said all projectiles were intercepted successfully.

There was no damage or injuries to the soldiers in the attack: Pentagon. We are not aware of any attacks on Lincoln vessel: Pentagon Pentagon: We will make clear to Houthis that the attack has consequences.

Houthi attack days after US, alliance forces carried strikes in Yemen. US and UK fighter jets hit multiple areas in Yemen including its capital Sanaa. US  officials said it targeted rebel groups' advanced weapons storage facilities.

Houthis have hit over 90 merchant vessels since Israel-Gaza war. Houthis conducting military campaign on all Israel-linked ships in Red Sea.
