More than 100 people have been reported dead since Hurricane Ian hit Florida.

President Joe Biden is expected to visit the US state as it continues to grapple with the devastating repercussions of the hurricane.

Search and rescue efforts are still underway in Florida, where more than 1,600 people have been rescued statewide, reported news agency PTI.

Ian knocked out power to 2.6 million customers across Florida when it roared ashore with 150-mile-per-hour (241-kilometres per hour) winds and pushing a powerful storm surge.
