Iran’s Plot To Assassinate Israel’s Gaza Commander: IDF In Panic After Spy Ring Revelation

Israel’s Gaza commander faces an assassination threat from Iran. Threat to the commander of IDF Gaza’s headquarter, Nevatim Base. Brig Gen Yotam Sigler’s security was enhanced to the level of IDF chief.  Commander of Nevatim base is Iran’s prime target: Channel 12 news.

Nevatim strategic airbase home to F-35, stealth fighter jets.  Nevatim base is also hub for combat operations, crucial intelligence & strategic asset. IDF foiled an assassination bid on Sigler and arrested 7 Israelis who were Iran spies.

“One of the most severe cases we’ve ever investigated. There is a real possibility that the main charge will be aiding the enemy in wartime, for which the penalty is death or life imprisonment." Yaron Binyamin, Israel police chief.

Israel's Shin Bet security has uncovered a series of spy rings in Israel, The accused had photographed Kirya defense headquarters, Nevatim airbase that Iran hit.  Report: accused spies were tasked to carry high-profile assassinations in Tel Aviv.
