Iranian athourities have arrested author and illustrator Mehdi Bahman for speaking against the regime in a television interview, according to a Hindustan Times report.
As per the report, Bahman has also been sentenced to death for criticising the regime in his interview given to an Israeli television channel.
The author called for peace between Israel and Iran apart from criticising Iranian regime in Tehran. He was arrested soon after the interview, the report added.
So far, Iranian authorities have sentenced 11 people to death for their anti-government act amid the ongoing demonstrations.
