US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Egypt as part of his latest Middle East tour to push for a Gaza ceasefire.
He will hold talks with the Egyptian president and foreign minister in the coastal city of El Alamein following a visit to Israel, where he met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"Israel accepts the bridging proposal... It's now incumbent on Hamas to do the same," Blinken said, after the talks in Tel Aviv.Blinken's next stop is Qatar, a key mediator in ceasefire talks, to meet with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
