The Israeli rescue service Zaka has said that its paramedics removed about 260 bodies from an all-night nature music festival near Gaza.

The festival was attended by thousands who came under attack by Hamas militants.

Reports said that thousands of young people attended the Nature Party, near Kibbutz Re'im, which became one of the first targets of Palestinian militants who crossed into Israel early on October 7.

The total figure is expected to be higher as other paramedic teams were working in the area. The overall death toll has passed 1,100 and thousands were wounded on both sides
