A protest organised by a Jewish anti-Zionist organization named Jewish Voice for Peace saw hundreds of activists storm the Capitol Hill in the US.
Dressed in black T-shirts with slogans such as "Jews say cease fire now" and "Not in our name", the protesters called for a ceasefire to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.
They held up large banners that read "Ceasefire" and "Let Gaza Live." The US police said about 300 protesters were arrested after they ignored warnings to stop demonstrating.
The protests come a day after hundreds were killed in a blast at a hospital in Gaza. Both Israel and Gaza officials blamed each other for the incident.
