WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange walked out of a UK prison after he agreed to plead guilty to the espionage charge in a deal with the US Justice Department.
Assange is expected to appear in a US courtroom on the Northern Mariana Islands for his plea and sentencing, which is scheduled for Wednesday.
Assange was charged with conspiring to unlawfully obtain and disseminate classified national defence information.
Meanwhile, his wife Stella thanked his supporters in a social media post.
