A 26-year-old landed in trouble for carrying a weapon called 'Vampire Straw'. The device looks like a metal straw but can also be used as a dagger. The man was arrested at the Boston airport for carrying the 'Vampire Straw' which according to authorities is not allowed in carry-on luggage.
The website of the device's manufacturers says 'designed for self-defence, the Vampire straw is super tough and long enough to be used like a dagger; its chiselled tip is sharp enough to puncture most synthetic materials. The Vampire straw is also a very effective tyre deflator and can be carried in a cup, in public without attracting attention. From a cup, the Vampire straw is very easy to deploy in reverse grip, and put into action almost instantly.'
The straw is reportedly 10 inches long and costs $75
