Man suspected of firing at Imran shot dead: AFP

An aide of former Pakistan Prime Minister, who survived an assasination attempt, has told the AFP that the man suspected of attacking Imran Khan during a political rally has been shot dead.

Raoof Hasan, a senior aide of Imran Khan told the news agency that a second man was taken into police custody.

Hasan said told AFP that it was unclear who shot the first attacker. 

The attack happened less than a week after Imran began his march from Lahore, the capital of Punjab province, along with thousands of supporters.
