At least five people were killed and 23 reportedly injured after a gunman opened fire at a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs in the United States.
Visuals emerging from the spot show deployment of police and ambulances in huge numbers.
Notably, the attack comes on the occasion of Transgender Day of Remembrance which is observed annually on November 20 to memorialise anyone murdered as a result of transphobia.
Some media reports stated that a sniper rifle was used in the attack.
The police is investigating the crime scene.
