Number 10 Downing Street's famous feline resident, Larry the cat, is taking all the controversies surrounding his current boss Boris Johnson in his stride and he is not worried about being jobless because after more than a decade as 'Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office', Larry the cat's tenure has endured longer than most recent British Prime Ministers.

The tabby cat was recruited by then-Prime Minister David Cameron to solve a rat crisis at one of the world's most famous addresses.

The rescue cat entered his new home on February 15, 2011, and has been a much-loved resident ever since.

The government website says Larry spends his days "greeting guests..., inspecting security defences and testing antique furniture for napping quality".

Larry has been lapping up the attention of the international media, at times stealing the limelight away from more famous visitors.

He's seen Prime Ministers come and go, will Boris Johnson be the latest one?
