Two of three occupants of the chopper were taken to the Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition, as per the police.
News outlet CNN quoted a former inspector general of US Department of Transportation as saying that the chopper seemed to be losing engine power, according to the available visuals. Mary Schiavo reportedly said that the pilot apparently commandeered the falling chopper away from people on the crowded beach.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will reportedly probe the incident.
