A startling mishap in America was caught on camera. On February 19, a helicopter crashed into the ocean near a crowded beach in Florida.

Two people were reportedly hospitalised after the incident off the coast of Miami. Miami Beach police said that they received a call at 1:10 pm local time about the crash near 10 street.

Two of three occupants of the chopper were taken to the Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition, as per the police.

News outlet CNN quoted a former inspector general of US Department of Transportation as saying that the chopper seemed to be losing engine power, according to the available visuals. Mary Schiavo reportedly said that the pilot apparently commandeered the falling chopper away from people on the crowded beach.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will reportedly probe the incident.
