Hours after news broke of a plane crash in China, a scary video purportedly of the mishap emerged on social media. An unverified video of a plane nose-diving towards the ground at great speed was posted on Twitter. News reports suggested that the video was captured by a local mining company's security camera.
Passenger flight Mu5735 of China Eastern airlines crashed on March 21 with over 130 people on board. China's President Xi Jinping expressed "shock" and ordered an investigation into the cause, as per Chinese media.
The crash reportedly occurred in the mountains in Teng near Wuzhou. The Boeing 737 was en route to Guangzhou from Kunming, when the mishap occurred.
Hundreds of Chinese rescuers were rushed to the site. While Guangxi province sent over 500 personnel, Wuzhou dispatched over 100 rescuers to the crash site.
