Widespread protests have engulfed Iran following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini who was detained by the 'morality police' who seek to enforce strict hijab rules.
According to Iranian state media, at least 41 protestors have been killed and nearly 700 have been arrested since the protests broke out on September 16.
Amid the demonstrations, a video has been doing the rounds on social media showing a woman chopping her hair off while at the funeral of her brother.
According to a social media handle, the woman's brother Javed Heydari was 'one of the victims of protests against the murder of Mahsa Amini'.
In the video, Heydari's sister, dressed in black is seen surrounded by other women, presumably family and friends of the siblings.
The girl then picks up a scissor and begins chopping her hair off, one section at a time.
Various visuals have emerged over the past week that show several women across the country burning their hijabs or chopping their hair off showing solidarity to the nationwide protests.
