Former US President Donald Trump on 13 March 2023 called the American education system "insane", and pledged to bring back "common sense" schooling.
He reportedly said this in response to an audience question about schools becoming "indoctrination camps" that are "focused on sexualizing children".
Trump spoke in support of a 'school choice' movement which is pushing for parents to have the right to opt out of the public school system using tax credits and vouchers.
