Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Friday, October 20 announced the news of separation from her partner Andrea Giambruno, who is a television journalist. This has come after her partner was in the news lately for making sexist comments on air.
Giorgia shared a post on Facebook in which she said, "My relationship with Andrea Giambruno, which lasted almost 10 years, ends here. Our paths have diverged for some time, and the time has come to acknowledge it"
Giorgia and Andrea are parents to a young daughter. For those unaware, Andrea is the presenter of a news programme aired by Mediaset, part of the MFE media group owned by the heirs of the late Silvio Berlusconi.
Recently, Giorgia's partner, Andrea drew massive criticism for using foul language and making advances to a female colleague. Other than this, Giorgia said that she should not be judged for the comments made by her partner and in future she would not answer questions about his behaviour.
